Pre-loved Items

Donations of used good condition maternity items and baby clothing, prem up to size 2 along with bedding and miscellaneous baby items and equipment are gratefully accepted at the locations indicated on the map below.

Baby equipment donations must pass a Health and Safety check at our office during open hours before being accepted. We welcome equipment items such as capsule car seats with at least 13 months remaining before expiry, cots, bassinets, prams, foldable change tables, breast pumps, baths and more.  All items must be mould-free and be complete with safety harnesses, if applicable. If in doubt, please ask us!

We couldn’t provide the amount of support that we do without the generosity of donations; so thank you in advance for thinking of PIPS for your good condition baby and maternity items!

Please note:

PIPS reserves the right to sell excess stock with all proceeds going to support our work within the Canterbury community. If you wish for your donations to be excluded from sales we kindly ask that you advise at the time of donation so that your wishes can be indicated in our inventory. Thank you for your understanding and supporting the work we do!

Donations of clothing and smaller baby items can be dropped off any day of the week at our Wainoni office. There is an after-hours bin located at the front door for small items.  After-hours donations exclude equipment which must be Health & Safety checked prior to accepting (e.g. prams, cots, highchairs, car seats).

We also have two awesome volunteers who host a donation bin at their home.  The West Bin Host is located between Upper Riccarton and Ilam and can be reached at 027 753 5095.

Our Southwest bin host is currently taking a break. We have a temporary bin host located in Avonhead for drop-off and can be reached at 021 950 469.

You will need to text the bin host and arrange a day and time to drop off your items. The host will text you the drop-off address and location of the donation bin.
