PIPS is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting families across Canterbury, ensuring no one faces the challenges of early-parenting alone. Every day, we hear from families in need — each with their own story, but all facing the same fundamental challenge: the need for community, resources, and a warm, nurturing environment where they feel supported.
Some families are navigating hardship, dealing with the pressures of single parenting or rebuilding their lives after experiencing family violence. Others are welcoming foster babies into their homes, trying to offer the love and care they deserve. Many are simply seeking a place to connect — because being a new parent can be incredibly isolating.
For nearly 50 years, PIPS has provided free maternity and baby essentials, from clothes and car seats to cots and prams. Beyond material support, we offer a caring community where parents feel supported, without judgment or barriers.
Your donation today will help a mother dress her baby warmly, give a newborn a safe place to sleep, and remind an isolated parent they are not alone.
